What is the IPAF 3a Course?
The IPAF 3a course will enable delegates to prepare and safely operate various types of MEWPs Categorised as 3a (Self-propelled scissor lift) and to obtain an IPAF MEWP Operator Licence. Delegates should take this course to comply with the duties placed upon employers and employees by law. The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) PAL Licence is recognised worldwide.
Who is the IPAF 3a Course Suitable For?
The IPAF 3a training course is suitable for anyone who operates a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), such as a mobile vertical lift platform, also known as Scissor Lifts. The training course is aimed at first time applicants or those looking to renew their IPAF card.
What’s Included in the IPAF 3a Course?
The training agenda is formed by 2 major parts:
Theory
- Introduction to IPAF
- Tutor-led theory training course in our classroom
- Theory Test
Practical
- Visual Inspection & Legal Checks
- Pre-Use Inspection of a MEWP
- Practical Training
- Practical Assessment conducted indoors at our purpose-built Training Centre
Certification
A PAL Card and certificate are issued to the candidate on successful completion of the course and assessment. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
